Amée one of a kind art doll on ETSY

Amée is a one of a kind art doll made of paperclay over a wire and foam armature.
Amée, meaning "beloved", is the youngest in her family and is very inquisitive as you can see by her expression. She has auburn hair and freckles with hazel eyes. She is sweet and delicate and loves to walk in her mother's rose garden every afternoon. She is dressed in many shades of pinks in honor of her favorite roses and blue for nobility. She is decorated with swarovski crystals, hand dyed silk chiffon, tulle and her hair is dyed tibetan lambs wool. Amée stands 18.25 inches tall without her base and approx. 20 inches with base.
Amée will arrive with a one of a kind certificate as well.

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Here's to a great weekend for all of us!

Making Hands and Playing with Fabrics!

I am working on finishing several projects this week as well as an online class that I will give you all of the details as soon as I get the okay. I love how productive I become this time of year. I don't know exactly why this happens, I just go with it. Here are some hands I sculpted and am sanding. I LOVE sculpting hands, it is my favorite body part because it can show so many subtle emotions just with a pose, or a finger;) Anyways, here's a few hands and a testing out of fabrics for my sweet girl.

I can't wait to finish her!
Have a great Sunday

Happy October with an Alien Hybrid!

Hope you are all enjoying the beginning of the holiday seasons. Can you believe it's almost Halloween?? 2014 has just zoomed by!!  It was great to see so many people at the opening night of the show in spite of the awful weather. Some really great artists contributed to the show so check them out if you haven't stopped by, there's still time.

Here's my sweet little Hybrid Alien girl. She is a permanent resident of Area 51 but is allowed access to the internet and cable. Her favorite show is Ancient Aliens of course, she has a mad crush on Giorgio and she wants you to know she came in peace!! She is sculpted out of paperclay over a wire and foam armature. I made all of her clothing, the sweater, hair ribbon, knickers, tu-tu and boots. She sits 13 inches tall, would be 19 if standing. Her hair is hand dyed tibetan lambs wool and she is painted in acrylics and watercolors. Hope you like her!
